This striped bass, aka rockfish, fish mount is part of our half sided series. A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.

Striped Bass Mount Paint Schedule (Rockfish)

Striped Bass are a commonly sought after gamefish ranging from Northern Florida all the way up the Eastern Shoreline living in both saltwater and freshwater. Striped Bass are also called Rockfish by many northern anglers and the typical color scheme for these fish are greenish back blending to a silvery white side and blending to a white belly. Normally intricate markings are displayed from each scale on 9 separate lines creating the namesake Striped look. Iridescent pinks and golds are mixed in throughout the face back, sides and fins. Like other fish, striped bass can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.

Half Mount Installation

Each fish mount in our half sided series arrives with a fiberglass hanger on the backside of the fish mount. This allows easy installation once you receive your new fish mount.
