The campaign officer's chair is made of solid maple wood, top quality suede cowhide with natural vegetable dyed nappa leather piping. The arm rests are suede leather straps with solid brass hardware. Hand finished with a distressed antiqued hand rubbed French finish that has five coats of varnish.
The military officer's chair measures 22 3/4" in width by 35" height by 22" depth.
This campaign style chair is an authentic reproduction of a victorian era (still in use up to WW II) British Army officer's knockdown chair. The legendary chair is named after and in honor of the Indian Army Corps of Engineers headquartered at Roorkhee, India.
A unique feature of this portable chair is it's loose construction (no glued joints), which allows the chair to adjust to uneven terrain and remain stable, no matter how heavy the occupant is. It is fairly easily assembled and can be broken down quickly, once assembled it becomes a luxurious & comfortable chair weather on a safari, photo shoot or just relaxing at home.
