MODEL SOLD FULLY BUILT - THIS IS NOT A KIT!
Model measurements: Height:33” Width:9” Length: 7 “ (1:7 scale)
Plank on frame construction where each strip of wood is applied to the hull one at a time
Made from heartwood Honduras mahogany. One of the highest quality mahoganies available and typically used for real boats.
Highly polished smooth finish. Many layers of paint and varnish applied. Each layer is left to dry and micro sanded before another layer is applied.
Plush leather seats
Dashboard has realistic gauges/switches
carefully painted to match the original Chris Craft Runabout
For the construction of this model, a lot of research was doing using sources such as drawings, copies of original plans and photos of the actual ship.

This was one of the first affordable speed boats. These boats became popular during the prohibition period when law enforcement and citizens needed to travel at fast rates in the water to get to where they were going. These boats were mainly used on the Great Lakes, upstate New York, and the Eastern shore where gin mills where often found.
